Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept traditional impressions?

Yes. We accept both digital and traditional cases.

You can send intraoral scans, physical impressions, models, bite registrations, photos, and other case records depending on the restoration.

Do you accept digital scans?

Yes. We accept digital scans from most major intraoral scanners. You can send open scan files via email at ultradynamicsdental@gmail.com or connect with us through your scanner’s lab portal.

What file types do you accept?

We accept STL, PLY, and OBJ files.

STL files are commonly used for digital models and restorations. PLY and OBJ files may include color data, which can be helpful for certain esthetic cases.

Which scanners can send cases to your lab?

We can work with scans from most open scanner systems, including iTero, Medit, 3Shape TRIOS, Dentsply Sirona, Planmeca, and other scanners that export open files.

If your scanner is not listed, contact us and we can confirm the best way to send your case.

Do you work with local dentists only?

No. We work with both local and nationwide dental practices.

Local offices in Los Angeles can coordinate pickup or delivery when available. Out-of-area offices can ship physical cases or submit digital files online.

What is your turnaround time?

Most cases are completed within 5 to 10 business days depending on the restoration, material, case complexity, and shipping time.

Simple digital crown cases are usually faster. Implant, denture, anterior, and full-mouth cases may require additional time.

Do you offer rush cases?

Rush cases may be available depending on the case type and current lab schedule.

Please contact us before sending a rush case so we can confirm timing.

What restorations do you make?

We fabricate crowns, bridges, veneers, implant restorations, custom abutments, dentures, partials, nightguards, and other removable appliances.

We also provide digital design and milling support for dental practices and labs.

Do you make digital dentures?

Yes. We offer digital denture workflows for complete dentures, immediate dentures, replacement dentures, and select partial denture cases.

Digital dentures can help improve efficiency, record storage, and future duplication.

Can you duplicate an existing denture?

Yes, in many cases.

If the patient likes their current denture, we can use it as a reference for tooth position, vertical dimension, smile design, and overall shape. This can help create a replacement denture that feels familiar while improving fit, strength, or esthetics.

Do you make implant crowns?

Yes. We fabricate implant crowns and implant-supported restorations.

Please include the implant system, platform size, scan body information, shade, bite, opposing arch, and any tissue or emergence profile details.

Can you help with custom abutments?

Yes. We can fabricate custom abutments when the case requires better emergence profile, angulation correction, tissue support, or esthetics.

What should I send for a crown case?

Send the upper scan or impression, lower scan or impression, bite, shade, tooth number, material choice, and any specific notes.

For anterior cases, photos are recommended.

What should I send for an implant case?

Send the scan or impression, scan body details, implant system, platform size, tooth number, shade, bite, and opposing arch.

What should I send for an anterior esthetic case?

Send scans or impressions, bite, shade, and any notes about shape, length, midline, texture, or translucency.

The more visual information we have, the better we can match the patient’s esthetic goals.

Do you help with material selection?

Yes. If you are unsure which material is best, we can help you choose based on the tooth position, occlusion, esthetic demand, prep clearance, and case type.

Can I speak with a technician about my case?

Yes. You can contact us to discuss margins, material choice, shade, occlusion, implant components, denture setup, or case design.

Do you review digital scans before fabrication?

Yes. If we see an issue with the scan, bite, margin, clearance, or records, we will contact your office before moving forward.
